Depth Psychotherapy
Pioneered by Carl Jung, Depth Psychology aims to understand behaviors and motivations by delving into deeper layers of the mind. You likely have a set of recurring thought patterns that you’re aware of, and maybe you’ve even been able to rewire some of them with the help of a therapist. Yet still, no matter how much work you’ve done around these conscious thought patterns you might still find yourself:
In unfulfilling relationships that don’t meet your needs
Resistant to making a career change despite your lack of fulfillment in your current work
Feeling lost and lacking a sense of purpose after a significant change
Afraid to step into the next chapter of your life with enthusiasm and curiosity
In cases where undesirable outcomes continue to manifest in your life, there are likely underlying belief systems about yourself or the world around you that sit beneath your awareness. Although they don’t present themselves in your known inner dialogue, if they’re operating in the background, they can influence more of your choices, attitudes, and behavior than you realize.
Depth Psychology is a modality that allows you to delve deeper into what’s happening in your psyche just beneath your awareness using symbolism, archetypes, mythology, synchronicities, and dream work.
Developing a relationship with your inner life and gaining awareness of underlying thought patterns and limiting beliefs generates valuable insights, and sheds light on why you are unconsciously recreating undesirable circumstances.
